Production Diary
I will be documenting the process of filming our production in several production diaries to illustrate how we went about conducting shoots with evaluation to prompt ourselves on how to do better next time. Filming commenced on the 31st of October. You can view my completed production diaries in the slides below.
We will be logging our footage after each day of footage to assess it upon quality and usability. This will help us select the best of our shots which we will then use when editing our production.
For Day 1 of shooting [31/10/26]:
Produced by Abi.
Noticeably we ended up with a lot more shots than planned. This was because we thought these additions were necessary in order to create an increasingly creative and dynamic production. However this may result on the length of our production extending, and so we may need to reconsider this and perhaps just use the most essential shots.
For Day 2 of shooting [05/11/16]:
Produced by Grace.
For Day 3 of shooting [10/11/17]:
For Day 3 of shooting [10/11/17]:
Produced by myself.
For Day 4 of shooting [12/11/16]:
In conclusion the production of shot logs was of great help to our production as it allowed us to sort the clips into usable and unusable so when we upload footage onto the timeline on Premiere we should be able to do so with ease, having known we have assessed the quality and suitability beforehand.
Now that we have gathered the necessary footage for our production, we began to put together our production using editing software including that of Adobe Premiere and After Effects. I documented my contribution (which consists of manipulations to shots, and the designing of titles) with these post-production diaries.
With the editing completed to a standard we were satisfied by; we were able to export out first draft which can be viewed below.
For Day 4 of shooting [12/11/16]:
Produced by myself and Abi in collaboration.

Days 3 and 4
First Draft
With the editing completed to a standard we were satisfied by; we were able to export out first draft which can be viewed below.
We were able to notice ourselves, and our feedback confirmed that there were a number of flaws present within our teaser trailer that we will need to correct in order to improve the quality of our piece. Refilming may be required and we will take action to use our free time efficiently to re-shoot, learning from our past mistakes.
Our final draft for our horror production 'EVE' may be found on my Final Products tab.
